A restaurant is a place you go to eat food. You typically exchange money for food. Some restaurants offer an almost artistic experience, where the
“form” of food is explored. Plating and presentation differ across restaurants. Price can vary – you may want to go to an expensive restaurant to wow a date – to show your date that you have financial means to support them, that you want them to experience something that they normally don’t, had they not decided to spend time with you.

Restaurants are typically described based on the type of food that they serve, which is often based on culture or country. “Should we go to a Korean restaurant? What about Thai?”

Some cities have good food. Large cities, perhaps due to increased competition, typically have more restaurants that are widely considered to be tasty than smaller cities, or places that have less access to tasty, nutritious food that’s easily accessible.
